FAQs

Below are a couple of frequently asked questions

We have been improving the way that we run our courses and training to make everything more accessible. With regard to the current ever changing situation, keeping you updated is a higher priority than ever to keep ourselves and our community safe. If you find any questions not covered, please fill in this form or contact us via email and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible!

I don't have a social media account. Will I miss out?

Of course not! Fill the form below to register for the mailing list and we will get you covered. Every member will receive updates and training schedules in their student Uni email address weekly.  Also, for members who do not having any social media account, you will be supported by one of the exec member too, who will update you if there are special information posted on the social media (such as fund-raising events, links to google forms). Of course, you can always check out our latest news when you come to our training sessions.

How do I join the club? What memberships should I purchase?

Good question! It's a common challenge for everyone when they first come to Warwick. We have been there too! That's why you should read this page where we have highlighted the key steps and listed the details for you.

Do I have to pay for lifesaving competitions?

Our University competition costs are heavily subsidised to ensure they're affordable to everyone - the club usually pays for entries of all teams to competitions. The only fees you will have to pay yourself is a small contribution to petrol, food and a few pounds towards the social and accommodation if you choose to stay overnight. This is literally a few quid - about £15 altogether for travel, a meal, accom, social and the competition itself! Obviously you will have to bring your own snacks etc. for lunch and cheap accommodation does come at the cost of sleeping on the floor so you'll need to bring a sleeping bag and roll mat (or blow up mattress if you're feeling fancy)! Costs vary for other competitions where we sometimes stay in an AirBnB, including BULSCA Student Championships, and those comps dedicated just to speeds, but the price will be notified well ahead of the comp by our Competition Secretary.
